Ann Revell-Pechar is a coach, an author, and a communications consultant. Her joy comes from helping companies learn how to talk about themselves more effectively – and then put that new power to work to impact the bottom line. Ann’s life has been spent in storytelling mode, from a music and theatrical career to writing, media relations, and then coaching businesses and individuals on how to identify and tell their stories impactfully. For the past 30 years, Ann ran a series of public relations and marketing firms, led communications teams in non-profits and startups, and helped individuals find and communicate their niche. Diane Durance is an entrepreneur, educator, mentor, leader, and investor. She was president of Michigan Capital Network Association, Michigan’s largest network of angel investment groups. Immediately prior to joining MCN in 2021, she served as the director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of North Carolina in Wilmington. She began her career as an entrepreneur launching and growing three companies, including a telecommunications engineering firm, a contract publishing company, and a residential construction business. Prior to her work in North Carolina, she was president of Great Lakes Entrepreneur’s Quest (GLEQ), a Michigan non-profit organization supported by the state to connect early-stage technology ventures with funding opportunities through support services, competitions, publications, and events. She began her work with technology startups in Ann Arbor and with faculty spinouts from the University of Michigan in 2005 as president of the Ann Arbor IT Zone. She holds a BBA and MPA, both from Southern Methodist University.
